NorEastCon 2010 - Fixed and rotatory wings: 1/72 scale and smaller


The classic 1/72 was great. I was delighted to meet several modelers known through the internet. It was good to finally put faces to names, and more important, to see that the small scale is still alive and strong. I got first place in Category 102: Single Engine Prop, 1:72 Scale and Smaller with my little Dewoitine, and I'm very proud of it, since I had to contend with no less than Dario Giuliano and Marian Holly. But the model which stole the scene was the Dario's Typhoon NF-IB, an all resin kit beautifully accomplished (his Hurricane was equally sharp). As for Marian's Ki-15, well, he decided to go to the single color scheme... that costed him the first place. Another fine model which called my attention was this Linx:
